We have had aussies for over 20 years now. We started with our first ones on our farm growing up. Then came college and a job and marriage . . . and a new pup. It was all over then and we haven't wanted another breed since. We got into herding first then the conformation ring. Now we just have fun with our dogs and let the professionals show and handle them!! We like the training aspect of it all. We also love breeding as it gives us a great sense of fulfillment to see the results of a good breeding program come to fruition. We have had many Champions result as well as other titled dogs in other venues.
We are a small 'kennel' in north Georgia. . . kennel meaning our dogs live with us underfoot and in the house per our definition. We only have 1 litter every 1-2 years so that we can spend the right amount of time training, raising, showing, and placing our dogs. We believe in and participate in OFA, CERF, DNA, and other certifications processes to insure we are breeding the best to the best. According to standard, we very carefully select our dogs for breeding which means sometimes we don't always use the male we have here. We also believe in temperament testing to insure each puppy that is placed in a companion home is in the right home for the lifestyle of its new family. Our goal is companion dogs that are well rounded and can do it all and then come home and sit at your feet. Beauty and brains seems a trite saying for such a dog whose life can impact families so immensely.
A few years ago in the conformation ring, we reached several pinnacles and goals and pups from our breeding program became very sought after. So we met the demand. In the end we did not want to sacrifice family time or quality with the dogs so we made the decision as some of you are aware to downsize. We sold several of our breeding stock to some very dear friends at Liberty Ranch Aussies. Ira and Keri have been awesome to work with and I can't imagine my dogs anywhere else. I have a couple of other dogs that I placed close by for breeding purposes in the future as well. My breeding program continues on through them. . . and a couple of dogs I still have here - though on a much smaller scale! We hope that your visit to our site will be a blessing. And we hope to hear from you if you are interested in discussing owning a Two By Two aussie.

Statement concerning the Miniature Australian Shepherd, and the Toy Australian Shepherd.
Copied from USASA's website . . . we agree wholeheartedly with this statement.
Recently there has been a rise in the movement to breed miniature and toy versions of the Australian Shepherd.
The Miniature Australian Shepherd and the Toy Australian Shepherd are not recognized or considered varieties of the Australian Shepherd by this organization, the United States Australian Shepherd Association, Inc. (USASA), or by the American Kennel Club (AKC). Since these dogs are not AKC registered, they cannot be verified by USASA as purebred, and therefore are not considered Australian Shepherds by this organization.
The USASA does not support the purposeful breeding of Miniature Australian Shepherds and Toy Australian Shepherds, and expects all members who have breeding programs to breed to the USASA/AKC recognized standard of excellence. The USASA further expects all members to be ever vigilant in the preservation and protection of the Australian Shepherd.
